Apple is expected to refresh all its iOS devices – the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch – with a smaller dock connector, reports Rene Ritchie of iMore. The iPhone 5 has long been rumoured to have a smaller dock connector, and now it looks like Apple is refreshing all its devices to match it.

Ritchie says the news comes from the same source who told him about Apple’s plan to unveil the new iPhone on September 12. That date was all but confirmed when Apple leaked it to news outlets last week.

This means there will be a slightly altered 9.7-inch iPad out this fall along with the rumoured 7-inch iPad Mini, new iPod Touch, and new iPhone. We’re guessing the iPad’s features will be pretty much the same, save for the smaller dock connector.
