Apple Has Begun Its Takeover Of San Francisco For Tomorrow's Big Press Event

Apple is having a big press event tomorrow at the Yerba Buena centre for the Arts in downtown San Francisco. Based on the invitation and other clues, it looks like Apple will unveil the latest iPad. It might also release a new version of Apple TV.

We took a stroll by Yerba Buena on our way to the office this morning, and sure enough, the makeover has already begun.

Here’s what the front of the building looks like:

Walk up to the front door and peer inside. There’s another huge Apple logo hanging over the entrance to the theatre, where the magic will happen.

Here’s a lonesome security guard. Tomorrow, those barriers will be swarmed with tech journalists and photographers.

Yes, the TV trucks with satellite links are already parked outside:

Last shot: here’s the van where TV interviews will presumably happen. We asked a security guard what was going on, but he said “they don’t tell me anything.” He hadn’t seen anybody interesting coming or going, though.
