All kinds of attention is on Apple leading up to its press event slated for the end of the month.Clayton Morris, anchor for Fox and Friends, has shared some details from his sources about what to expect.

He says the event has nothing to do with hardware. Instead, Apple will be making announcements relating to iTunes University, a system that lets colleges deliver free educational content to iTunes users, and Apple’s general role in education.

Morris says the details have been in the works “for years” and that Steve Jobs was “intimately involved with this project” before he died.

The event is taking place in New York instead of Silicon Valley due to the better proximity to textbook publishers.

9to5Mac reports that the iTunes team is on “lockdown mode” leading up to the announcement, which seems fitting as iTunes U falls under its jurisdiction.
