AOL has poached Military.com writer Colin Clark to launch “a defence acquisition-focused property” on Huffington Post, Military.com editor-in-chief Ward Carroll told staffers in memo.
In the memo, Carroll says Clark’s expertise is in “in the Beltway arena,” and that his Military.com blog, DoD Buzz, is “now widely viewed as a daily ‘must read’ among military requirements folks, lawmakers and staffers, and the defence industry.”
We wouldn’t have guessed there’s a big AOL-type consumer readership in defence spending, but then, we were sceptical of Huffington Post’s “Divorce” vertical, and that’s done really well, we hear.
