A 3,900-square-foot apartment on the 75th floor of the Time Warner centre is on sale for $50 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. The seller: the 27-year-old Anna Anissimova, daughter of Vasily Anissimova, a Russian who made a fortune in aluminium and iron ore.
If $50 million is too much to shell out, you can rent the place for $60,000 a month.
Anissimova, an actress, purchased the 3-bedroom apartment in 2004 for $9.86 million, as soon as the building was completed. That’s one huge mark-up. She claims to have put the apartment on the market so she can move west to Hollywood and pursue her acting career.
If the apartment actually sells for that huge price tag, apartment 75A would earn the title of the second most expensive apartment, based on square footage, in New York. First place belongs to another Russian socialite, Ekatarina Rybolovleva, the 22-year-old daughter of Dmitry Rybolovlev, who bought an apartment at 15 Central Park West for $88 million.
