Samsung started rolling out a new update for its Galaxy Tab on Friday that adds its 'TouchWiz' skin to Honeycomb. You'll get a ton of new and useful widgets, better controls for things like Wi-Fi and GPS, plus a bunch of simple apps that can run in the foreground of any other app.
Keep an eye on your Tab's notification's bar to see when it's ready to download.
Many Thrive owners reported problems getting their tablet to sleep and/or wake up. It was a major bug. Toshiba finally has a fix. If you're a Thrive owner, make sure you snag the latest update ASAP under your tablet's settings panel.

Xoom owners: keep an eye on your notifications bar for the next Honeycomb update. Version 3.2 is rolling out now and includes better app scaling for smartphone apps on larger screens and support for the tablet's Micro SD card.

There's a new Android Trojan floating around out there that can sneak its way into your phone and record your calls without you knowing. It's also possible your calls can be uploaded to a remote server. Make sure you always pay attention to what permissions you allow apps to perform.

Gmail for Android got a nice update last week that lets you choose to only sync Priority inboxes if you want. There are also some great new notifications options that help save your battery life.
To get the update check the 'My Apps' section in the Android Market. You'll see it there.
Lookout Mobile security's Plan B app sends you an e-mail of your lost phone's location.
Since the Android market lets you install apps to your device remotely from your desktop, you can install the app here. Plan B will determine your phone's location and shoot a message to your Gmaill account telling you where it is.
Google updated its mobile website for Gmail, Reader, etc. this week. The most notable feature is the ability to pull down and refresh your Gmail inbox. You don't have to do anything to try the feature but log in.
