Newspaper columnist and TV personality Andrew Bolt had sticky liquid, glitter and dye thrown at him while launching a book in Melbourne.
The outspoken presenter, who has previously received threats, started throwing punches as his assailants and says he kicked one in the groin.
Bolt was at a restaurant in Carlton for the launch of a book on US president Donald Trump by RMIT professor Steve Kates when two men set upon him as a third filmed it.
Bolt released CCTV footage of the incident on his Sky News program last night.
One man will have “a big bruise on the left side of his face and another bruise between his legs. For which I apologise, I guess, but I don’t really fight nice if I’m pushed too far,” Bolt said, appealing for information from the public.
See it for yourself.
