An American Eagle Pilot Was Arrested For Reportedly Failing A Blood-Alcohol Test

An American Eagle pilot has been arrested after failing a blood-alcohol test at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, the AP reported, citing an airline spokesman.
The pilot was preparing for takeoff for a flight to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, when officers boarded the plane and arrested him around 6:30 this morning.

Patrick Hogan, the director of public affairs and marketing at the Minneapolis airport, told the AP that airport police were alerted by witnesses that the pilot smelled like alcohol.

American Eagle Airlines is a regional affiliate of American Airlines. On Twitter, American Airlines responded to a tweet about the situation, saying the pilot has been suspended pending the outcome of a full investigation:
