Amazon's Cloud Business Is On An Absolute Tear

The number of objects stored on Amazon’s S3 storage service have doubled since last year, TheNextWeb reports

Amazon S3 is part of Amazon Web Services, Amazon’s cloud business on which tons of web services run, from hundreds of startups to juggernauts like Netflix. Amazon has basically transformed startup (and web) economics by making web services cheap to set up and run, and easier to scale. 

It’s less sexy than the retail or Kindle businesses, but it is still a very important juggernaut. And it is growing very fast.
