With the NBA season opening this week and no suitable takers for his services, Allen Iverson will be taking his talents to Istanbul to play for Besiktas of the Turkish basketball league.Iverson has agreed to accept a two-year, $4 million contact with Besiktas and will report to them by the end of the week. He reportedly turned down more lucrative offers from Chinese team, but instead decided to become the biggest NBA’er so far to move to Europe for his sunset years.

Whether he plans to lose interest in coming off the bench and get cut unceremoniously, like he did with his last three NBA teams, remains to be seen.

Besiktas’ season started earlier this month and they are 1-1 so far.
