The brightest minds in advertising are converging in New York City this week to talk about the future of advertising, but last night’s opening ceremony was about one thing: having a good time. That and intense networking.

We took pictures of the action at Radio City Music Hall, which included free booze, Tim Armstrong and the Rockettes.

Radio City was an appropriate venue for the advertising industry crowd

Guests checked in at the AOL booth

Then made their way into the Art Deco lobby, which quickly filled up with party-goers

There were free drinks all around -- at least, until they seemed to run out after an hour

Thankfully, guests could also purchase drinks at the many bars throughout the venue

Talia Handler, Jayme Maultasch and Erica Grau are all with ad agency Deutsch Inc.

Then we ran into Herald Vargas, TopShelf Network; fashion designer Zachariah Russell; and Andrew David, TopShelf Network

It didn't take long for the place to fill up

$15 for the bubbly?

As was the candy bar

How often do you get to see an empty Radio City Music Hall auditorium?

As the night came to a close, some guests exited via taxi

We opted for the subway
