that the winners of the site’s advertising awards will, fittingly, be decided by ad agency execs.
Jeff Benjamin from CP + B, Susan Credle of Leo Burnett, Steven Goldblatt of EVB, Nick Law of R/GA, David Sable of Y&R, and Mark D’Arcy, director of global creative solutions at Facebook will select the recipients of the Facebook Studio Awards, granted to advertisers that have created the most effective online marketing campaigns.
The site launched Facebook Studio last April to create “a place to celebrate the agencies and marketers that are driving business growth through real connections and authentic conversations made possible with Facebook.”
And what better way to celebrate than with a box-shaped award?
Adweek reported that judges can select however many winners they see fit based on the following criteria:
- Is the campaign social?
- Does it make full use of Facebook marketing products?
- Does it integrate with other media?
- Does it scale?
According to Facebook Studio’s website, they’ve already received hundreds of submissions from 40 countries. The deadline for the competition has been extended from the end of 2011 to January 15. All ads that have already been uploaded to Facebook Studio have been automatically entered in the competition.
