ADP JOBS REPORT BLOWS PAST EXPECTATIONS AT 163K

ORIGINAL POST: The next big economic data is… the ADP Jobs Report.This is the first real preview ahead of this Friday’s jobs report, though in recent months it’s consistently been fairly off.

Nonetheless, it remains closely watched.

Analysts expect a reading of 120K, down from the previous month’s 176K.

UPDATE: It’s a beat!

The ADP jobs report blew past expectations at 163K. Analysts expected 120K.

That being said, last month ADP came in at 176K, and the ultimate non-farm payrolls was about half that.

So people might be shy about reading into this one.
