Four men taken into custody on Sunday afternoon following an investigation into the death of a woman in a Melbourne apartment have been released without charge.
The Herald Sun reports the woman had gone to the Oaks on Market apartment building with 11 men, who were in Melbourne celebrating a buck’s party.
The woman, described as caucasian and aged in her 20s wearing a black, long-sleeved top, blue denim shorts and white runners, was found in the shower by one of the men who rang for help at about 8am on Sunday.
The responding paramedics later pronounced her dead.
The group of men had travelled from the NSW and ACT for the party. Those who were taken into custody to assist homicide squad detectives with inquiries and were later released.
The exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are yet to be established and her identity is still unknown.
The Homicide Squad are assisting local detectives with the investigation and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
