A Fake Twitter Account May Have Duped A Miami TV Station Into Reporting That The Miami Heat Signed Another All-Star

People in Miami are so anxious to hear if Ray Allen is taking his talents to South Beach, that one station in Miami prematurely reported that the Heat had indeed signed the 10-time all-star. And their “source” may have been a fake Twitter account.

After visiting with the Miami Heat earlier this week, Allen is currently weighing a chance to join the defending NBA Champions or return to the Boston Celtics (via the Boston Herald). And according to Deadspin.com, a twitter accounting pretending to be Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, is the only place that was reporting the deal was done.
