Any Game of Thrones fan sitting in on a lawsuit currently under way involving actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is in a world of hurt right now.
The actor who plays Jaime Lannister is in a fight with his former manager, Jill Littman, and as the lawsuit unfolds, his team are being forced to reveal details of his role in the final season of Game of Thrones.
Courts don’t care about your spoiler paranoia.
And Coster-Waldau was recently required to detail his earnings for Season 8, which looks like it will probably launch around May next year.
Getting paid per episode is a nerve-wracking deal for GoT stars with large mortgages, but Coster-Waldau has been one of the lucky ones. Last year, he made it out alive in all seven episodes, and bagged $US942,857 for each of them.
In Season 8, according to what he just revealed in court proceedings, he earnt $US1,066,667 per episode. And here’s the spoiler in the court documents:
He got paid for six episodes.
So Ser Jaime makes it to the end. Previous reports only suggested he got through to Episode Four of Season 8.
Of course, that doesn’t mean he survives the final episode.
