A three-year-old girl was found shot dead in a home in Sydney on Sunday night.
Emergency services were called to the home in Lalor Park, 40 minutes north west of Sydney, just after 8pm.
Authorities found the child with a fatal gunshot wound to her neck.
A crime scene has been established at the home and detectives from Quakers Hill Local Area Command are on the scene, continuing to investigate.
Fairfax Media reports that a man was led into a police van at the scene on Sunday night, while the a woman, who was screaming and crying, was led into an ambulance.
The three siblings of the child were thought to be in the home at the time of the shooting.
