A 60-year-old woman claiming her human sexuality professor required students to masturbate twice as often and share the intimate details with the class might not have as strong of a case as she thinks. She signed a waiver at the beginning of class, Westlaw Insider reported Thursday.
Back in November, Western Nevada College student Karen Royce sued the school, claiming instructor Tom Kubistant’s class was so offensive it created a hostile work environment.
But she, and every student, signed a waiver acknowledging they were in a class covering human sexuality.
Royce said she didn’t read the entire document before signing it, Westlaw Insider reported, noting that the waiver might not derail her case in light of how shocking her claims were.
In her November complaint, Royce alleged Kubistant assigned a term paper called “A Sexual Case Study…You!”
The assignment instructed students to examine how they became sexually aroused, their fetishes, and their personal promiscuity, according Westlaw Insider.
“It’s so inappropriate,” Royce told the Arizona Republic in November. “This is why I’m pursuing it. This needs to change.”
