Working from home has many advantages. It’s just a matter of finding an employer who thinks this lifestyle is good for business.
Global job site Indeed has identified five work-from-home jobs available now. All positions offer salaries of at least $50,000 a year.
“We are definitely seeing increasing numbers of skilled and well-paid positions being offered with remote work options,” says Chris McDonald, Indeed’s Australia-New Zealand managing director.
“It is a trend that will continue as flexibility is high up the wishlist for employees of all ages — from new parents who need to juggle work with child care to older workers.
“But younger workers in particular see it as essential. Having grown up as digital natives, they expect to be able to use technology to enable them to work whenever and wherever suits them.
“From a business perspective, the willingness to offer flexible working is a powerful way to access wider pools of skilled workers – whether that’s Australia’s growing older workforce, or millennials who place greater emphasis on work-life balance than previous generations.”
