George Clooney‘s new movie “Ides Of March” finally hit theatres on Friday.He directed and stars in the movie, playing a Democratic presidential candidate — a role he has no plans to play in real life any time soon.

Before the humanitarian work or political campaigning, before donning “ER” scrubs and the Batman suit, Clooney was a handyman. On “Facts Of Life.”

1979-1981: Clooney attended Northern Kentucky University (and briefly, the University of Cincinnati) where he majored in Broadcast Journalism but never graduated.

December 13, 2007: Clooney, along with actor Don Cheadle, was presented with the Summit Peace Award by the Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in Rome. Less than a month later, the United Nations named Clooney a UN messenger of peace.

January 2010: Following the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Clooney organised the Hope For Haiti Now telethon to benefit victims.
