It’s hard to believe, but  “The Colbert Report” has already been on the air for 1000 shows.Last night, Stephen Colbert announced his show’s landmark episode via Twitter

Since the parody news show began on Comedy Central in 2005, it’s been filled with one gag after another from zany “Word of the Day” segments to friendly rival competitions with “The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart.
